Nido is Italian for "nest". Our program offers a comforting and peaceful space where young children are given enriching tools for their development.
The Nido program is for infants 12 to 18 months old. Your infant will be with nurturing teachers who have extensive training in child development and the Montessori teaching method. We create peaceful, supportive and safe environments for our youngest students. So your child’s passion for curiosity, exploration, independence, and discovery can blossom naturally.
The space includes developmentally appropriate furniture and materials. Specially designed furniture supports your child’s budding independence, including bars for pulling themselves up, mirrors to reflect body movement and individual sleeping spaces. Bright Beginnings uses specialized tables and chairs that children in this age group can use independently, as opposed to high chairs that restrict the child’s movement. It is designed to accommodate non-mobile or crawling infants in a classroom environment.
